I really didn’t know what to write when it came to this whole covid diary because so many things have happened to me which has affected me in many negative ways. Before this semester I had to fight to get my financial aid back due to having to drop classes due to the covid online transition which made things extremely difficult since I have a learning disability. However, after taking summer courses I slowly adapted to the change so now I’m easing into it a bit more smoothly. Besides that, issue I am a father to a two-year-old girl and a fiancé so having to struggle with financial needs for the both of them has been difficult since getting work is pretty scarce at the moment but luckily my fiancé still has her job and I have some money in our savings account so we’ll manage for now. The harsh reality to this whole pandemic is that things won’t truly change for the next year or two, I feel like many people won’t take the vaccine which will leave it to still continue for a while. You see I offered an internship from the county to shadow my social which would’ve been amazing since that’s the profession that I want, and along that I was offered a job by my NextUp EOPS counselor so I was happy to do all of that but that’s when the pandemic hit and changed everything. So pretty much in short this pandemic really has hit me in every type of way but thank god everything is starting to work out a bit better now and hopefully things will get better sooner than later.
