The one thing I have been thankful for during the pandemic has been the availability of BARD (Braille and Audio Reading Download) for the downloading of books. While I have been unable to borrow books through the mail from my regional library in Sacramento, CA, whenever I have heard about a book I would be interested in reading I would just download it from the BARD website and there it would be! Before the pandemic I predicted that with the advent of BARD borrowing books through the mail might someday be a thing of the past. I still think that, but in the meantime during the pandemic having BARD available and at my fingertips has kept my reading experience alive.
