My grandmother, Bernice Mack, died at age 98 on January 7, 2021, of a non-COVID condition. I am so grateful that we were able to gather to celebrate her life on January 18, 2021, in Blythe CA. So many people were not allowed to have services, but we were. She was a wonderful woman who loved her family. This past year we were not able to get together as usual, which she missed. I am contributing a picture of her house and my counsins and I dressed in her favorite color. I special memory is her visiting me in Sacramento and attending church with me. She had a strong faith in Christ, but was not overbearing about it.
How beautiful it was for her to share her faith with me., freely given and eterneral. I will always love her. From her obituary, “She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd, parents Randal Wilson and Henrietta Love, brothers Leonard and Launzy, sisters, Eveldon Moore, Ernestine Black and Verderee Parrish and one great grandson, Miles Mack. She will be sorely missed by her children, Gwen Mack, Patricia White, Lloyd Mack Jr., Joyce Mack (Bennie) and Steven Mack (Julia). She also leaves to cherish her memory 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.”
