How has the COVID-19 pandemic affected you, your family or your community?
It affected me because I was lost of work for a minute didn’t really know how to do the edd how to really provide food I felt bad because my cousin that I roommate with was the only one working at the time so I know for sure she was stressed out and for sure it mad me feel some way by the economy and how the world is turning.
What has been the most difficult part of this experience?
Most difficult part once again not having no job to go to nothing to provide for my siblings or anything systems is down and running slow so we had to play it start eat wisely you know kinda train your body to be on a set schedule because it been a long time since this our world shutting down to all things madness that’s going but I keep faith and keep pushing forward and find some type of hope that’s all we can do
What inspired you or gave you hope?
What inspired me let me see pushing forward because even when it’s very hard and you feel like giving up you will remember that you concur more if you push for greatness also my family there my hurt through the bad and good they bring light to my hurt my boyfriend he played a big part in. My life friends they that supported me the most and never gave up or lead me wrong So I have to do the same
Have you experienced a significant life event since this began? A birthday, anniversary, birth, death, graduation, wedding? How did quarantine affect that experience?
It’s been very disappointed I lost a few family member’s unexpectedly to the point it crush my heart knowing that 2020 was not the year for me my birthday June 13 and really didn’t enjoy my day to be honest really didn’t care to much for it I really have a lot of great for quarantines just funerals
Have you witnessed acts of kindness in your neighborhood like neighbors shopping for the elderly, collective block dance parties, the cheering of First Responders?
No I haven’t witnessed anything like I wish sound so fun but i am now a caregiver so proud to say it my dream job and finally got it they are so sweet and loving I just love every moment of it and just to help someone and put a smile on they face makes my day
How do you think life will or will not be the same after we emerge from sheltering in place? What changes will you be making going forward?
I feel it’s a good thing helping them get off the street for a good calls because I know some did it they self but some is willing to try and just don’t know how so it a little harder to say and bittersweet I had a uncle that was living like that went to a shelter got in a program then got a job then apartment now car and he changed his life around from his bad habits
