It is April, and now everything is different! We are at home doing different activities. In the morning no alarms are ringing. My first activity in the morning is to take a walk for one hour. My two boys and I need to take a break before10:00. At 10:30 we need to start with homework. This time is really hard for me because they want to take a break. At 12:30 we have lunch. After that we do laundry, dishes or clean the house. Later it’s time to cook dinner. In a break the kids take time to watch TV or play video games. My time is later to read, watch TV, or listen to an audiobook or music. Dinner time is next, clean the kitchen, take a bath & the day gone!!
We have changes in our life. For moms it’s a difficult time too. Our kids are in home school. But we have problems, because we are not ready. My kids are bored at home, no friends, no sports, no school. My kids are looking for food all the time, Mom is cooking 2-3 times a day. They have Zoom meetings & classes, motivation videos, but they are in a bad mood! For Mom it’s difficult.
One of my hobbies is the garden. In these days I have time. I was planting my favorite flowers, petunias & geraniums. I was pruning my herbs to use in the kitchen too. But my friend called me last Tuesday. She told me about the news. We need to wear masks. She knows my hobby is to use the sewing machine. I had to look for little pieces of the cotton fabric & materials to start. It’s really fun for me because I love the project. The problem is no store is open at this time for new materials.
I need to start to work. Now the salon is open, but with changes. I need to disinfect my work area before every person! This takes extra time. We need to wear masks ?! I need to use the most disposable materials possible. Nobody can come sick. Nobody can be waiting. One person at a time. No kids can come at this time.
