Hate is a Strong Word

July 12, 2020

I hate that no one listens
And that I feel alone in my opinion

When in reality
You would think that everyone would be with me

I hate that people are so selfish and actually think that
Their social lives should be prioritized instead of, oh yeah, their literal lives

And that they don’t care about other people either

I hate that I’ll never be able to change their mind no matter
How much I explain to them that these are facts, not opinions.

I hate that I’m the one that seems crazy, for being in the right position
I hate that the “weird” people are the ones that follow the rules

And that for some reason rebelling is cool

Do people just not seriously understand?

Because I guess if it hasn’t affected them,
They just don’t believe it?

Because they’re the ones that are,

But I – I feel like I’m the one that deserves to leave it
