Reflections on 2020

July 9, 2020

How has life changed? How have you changed?

I am learning reading now, I am getting better. I am learning math too. My life has changed a lot. I got my own place now to live, I had my section 8 before but I lost it, but now I found a new place to live. I like it, I have a case manager helping pay my bills and sending me money. I’m trying to stay out of trouble, I’m happier because I have my own place now. I have furniture, a TV, computer, desk, dishes and other stuff. I have a little patio for the community. I don’t like plants, they die too quickly.

Important Highlights: Any silver linings?

I think Black people are being noticed now and I think it’s good.

Difficulties: What has been challenging?

My reading ability has been hard, I get stuck on big words.

What do you hope for 2021?

By then we should have a new president, right? I hope I am still in school and I hope my reading gets better.
