The school told parents to expect to take a long weekend starting March 13, 2020. I had no idea that this would become a way of life for at least the rest of the year. We are thankful to have jobs & housing. I am an attorney & can work from my home. My husband is an engineer and works from home too, except when he goes to the field. My daughter misses school, but we are not sure how it will go. As a black family, I am glad she was not in school during the protests around George Floyd’s death & the upcoming election with our very racist president. I am not sure the school can keep her physically & emotionally safe. She is safe with us.
